A Kentucky executive order requires patients, visitors and employees to wear masks in patient care facilities such as hospitals and doctors’ offices beyond June 11, 2021. Norton Healthcare requires children ages 2 and older to wear masks in health care settings.

Norton Hospital is a 605-bed hospital with special emphasis on advanced diagnostics and surgical procedures. Serving as a teaching facility for the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Norton Hospital is regionally recognized as a leader in the areas of minimally invasive and cancer surgery.

The hospital also has achieved center of orthopedic excellence designation from DNV for knee and hip replacement, shoulder surgery and spine surgery.

Connected to Norton Children’s Hospital, Norton Hospital is the region’s preferred birthing facility for high-risk pregnancies. Norton Hospital is home to one of the largest spine centers in the nation, providing expert care for patients with spinal cord defects and injuries.

Breakfast Steam table: 6 to 9:30 a.m. Grill: 6 to 9:30 a.m.

Lunch and dinner Steam table: 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Grill: 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Deli 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Starbucks coffee shop 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Late night 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Vending machines, ice, and microwave ovens are available in the dining area 24 hours a day.

The Norton Hospital Gift Shop is located on the second floor. Hours may vary according to availability of volunteers.

The chapel in Norton Hospital is located on the second floor, above the cafeteria. It is open at all times.

The chapel in Norton Healthcare Pavilion is located on the first floor near the Preston Street entrance.

If requested, Norton Hospital Pastoral Care will notify personal pastors, priests and rabbis when a patient is admitted. To request pastoral care or for more information, call (502) 629-6150.

Norton Hospital patients who do not speak English can communicate with staff members in more 143 languages with the help of AT&T’s Language Line Services.

If you need an interpreter, tell a nurse when you are admitted and arrangements will be made for you. Equipment for the hearing impaired also is available for all telephones and televisions.
